With a Tesla Powerwall installed onto School, if a power cut hits, the Tesla Powerwall will kick in with a backup generator, providing energy for the School as if the power cut never happened at all!

By generating clean, renewable energy, The Mead School are saving 5,053kg/year of CO2 emissions being released into our atmosphere, helping to make Earth a more sustainable place.
By having solar PV panels installed, The Mead School are enabling the pupils to experience hands-on learning, teaching them the importance of renewable energy at a young age.

The Process

The Mead School came to us in September 2024 looking for a way to become more eco-friendly and save some money on their energy bills.

To fulfil their wish, we installed an 11kw solar PV system and a Tesla Powerwall 2 for The School in Tunbridge Wells.

To cover as much roof as possible in line with The Mead Schools budget, we installed 26 LONGI solar panels over a range of different roofing fixtures.

17 solar panels have been installed by our team onto Van Der Valk flat roof systems, and the remaining 9 solar panels have been installed onto bracket and rails.

We had solar and battery storage fitted at our house in Hastings at the end of June, and it was a good experience from the first visit onwards.

Phil knows his subject and is thoroughly professional, with a very good team around him. He came out and looked at the roof properly before quoting, and when I came back with a long list of questions about export tariffs and backup circuits he answered every one of them in detail, revised the proposal to add an essential loads board so we’d have power in a cut, and put me in touch with two previous customers. Nobody tried to rush me into anything.

The installation was prompt and the team went above and beyond, working through the heatwave to get it finished. A pleasure to deal with, all of them.

The system has beaten the estimate it was sold on. In its first full month it generated 1,600 kWh.

Obtained quotes, South East Solar form the Solar Together council initiative was best, council confirmed some track record in the local area. Entire process was a pleasure. Quote explanations, arranging survey, installation, and final handover. Highly recommend, middle of winter and alive halved energy bill, I’ll be exporting in summer months. 17% after tax return on investment was not sales talk.

We have had 6 solar panels and 5kw battery with an inverter installed now for the last 2 weeks . We went with this company because of the reviews and from the first meeting we had we knew we was right . From the first meeting to assess what I can have to the scaffolding ( who went above and beyond there duties) to the insterlation the workmen were respectful of the property and very efficient. Totally agree with all the other 5star reviewers. We had solar panels and a battery installation, and SESE have been the easiest supplier to work with. Excellent communication, always someone on the end of the phone if you had any questions, friendly, efficient installers who explained all they were doing. The handover on the day included ensuring we had the app up and running. Commissioning documents have been organised by their staff so we don’t have to deal with an unfamiliar process. Just waiting for our export MPAN which is outside of their control. A very painfree experience and would highly recommend South East Solar and Electrical.

I have recently had South East Solar install a solar and battery system to my home (Giv Energy all in one) and I am genuinely surprised. They are the first company I have dealt with in any field for a long time that has communicated well, done a professional job, done it on time and for the money they said it would cost! The team (both office based and installers/technicians) were easy to deal with, contactable on the telephone (everyone else seems to use email/chat bots now – so it was lovely to speak to actual human beings) and they were knowledgeable/competent. I had a very minor technical issue with a bit of the kit and they just came back out and replaced it with a different brand that was more reliable and more expensive and didn’t try to charge me for the upgrade. “Honestly it’s better we do this than come out again and again if it isn’t right” is what I was told. They also had a bit of personality, I can’t quite believe it, but I think I’ve actually found a company that I like for the first time in ages! I would never normally write a review (in fact I think this might be the first one I’ve ever done), but I I felt it was warranted. Seriously good job all round. I’ll be recommending them to friends and family. 10/10.

Their staff is amazing. From any department, technical, operational, management, administrative. They are knowledgeable, listen to your requirements and they give you great alternatives. Billy and Jude were absolutely fantastic to work with. Billy responded to my enquiry on a Saturday evening and provided me with a full quote that same evening. They were incredibly informative, punctual and tidy in their work, carrying out every element to a high standard and more importantly were a pleasure to have in our house, fitting a Tesla Home Charging Unit and rectifying some previous electrical works within the property. We would highly recommend their services for anyone looking for high quality service at a reasonable price.

Service received from this company was impeccable. They provided a very effective telephone enquiry line (thank you particularly Gemma) before I decided to go ahead, undertook the installation very soon after the contract for work was agreed and the installation workers were careful around my property causing no disruption to me and my neighbours. After a few days, I can say that everything seems to be working fine. The company contacted me for feedback just 2 days later and assured me that I can call at any time if I need further advice about the system and the app.
Added to this, the price was very competitive, almost half of the cost of the first quote I received.

I requested a quote from SESE after having a quote done by another company. SESE came in at a much more competitive and realistic price to meet my requirements and expectations, and from start to finish, Gemma, was absolutely excellent. She took the time to explain it all to me and her responses were speedy and clear.

The communication from SESE has been excellent, they have obviously streamlined the service over time. It was so quick, hassle free and easy from start to finish. The workmen were all very polite and punctual, as well as clean and tidy and open to any questions we had. The install was seamless.

Having worked in the (commercial) construction industry for about 10 years earlier in my career, I’m used to “a range of qualities.”

The electrical installation that SESE did has to rank as the best I’ve ever seen. The cable routing was a far neater job than I’d any right to inspect (and the panels on the roof look good too, but I’ve not been up there to check!)

The whole process from end to end was very seamless – Ben in sales worked up a couple of quotes for a couple of different options, and the admin was very clean too.

The only downside is that watching my power flows on the App is very addictive when I ought to be working 🙂
