The Process

In September 2024, we installed a 5Kw solar PV system in Longfield. This installation included 12 JA Solar PV Panels, 1 5k Solis Hybrid Inverter, 1 5k Dyness Battery, 12 Tigo Optimisers and bird protection.

Before the installation, our designers find all our client’s homes on Google maps to view the home. We can then create a pre survey design to give the customer a rough idea of how many solar panels can fit on their home.

Once the customer has agreed on the design, we then arrange for our surveyor to come and conduct a survey of the home to allow our designers to provide a post survey design that is a lot more accurate.

For this installation, we were able to fit 12 solar pv panels that our solar panel installer installed over top of the bracket and rails, secured on with clamps, in rows of 2 by 6.

The Tigo optimisers are clipped to the side of the solar PV panel and are connected to the rest of the system with c4’s. Tigo optimisers are a great addition to any solar system if you live in an area with a lot of shading as they still allow your system to work if shading does hit your panels at any point.

This entire installation only took one day to be completed, in which the scaffolding will then come down shortly after, leaving the homeowners with clean, renewable energy to power their home for many years to come.
