28kW system for Artic Building Services
In August 2023, we installed a 28kW solar system for Artic Building Services, and in May 2024, Artic came back to us, looking to upgrade their system with an additional 35kW, making their system now 63kw
What Was Installed?
- 64 JA Solar Panels
- 52 Canadian Solar Panels
- 1 Solis Inverter
Benefits
- With an annual yield of 887.62kWh/kWp this system will now be generating Artic with clean, renewable energy, powered by the sun, with only 0.8% of this yield being reduced by shading.
- This upgrade now allows Artic building services to avoid an additional 15,769 kg of CO2 emissions a year, meaning their overall avoidance is 27,483kg/year!
The Progress
Artic Building Services offering a full range of technical & engineering solutions across the spectrum of mechanical, electrical and hard FM plant, so having solar panels installed onto their business was the perfect solution to help cut down their energy consumption from the grid.
By working closely with their Global Business and Energy Manager, Keith Hewitt, we got to work with creating a phase 2 solar design, and installed an additional 64 JA Solar Panels on a separate system on their roof.
Not only are we significantly reducing our environmental impact by avoiding an additional 15,769 kg of CO2 emissions annually, but our total yearly avoidance now surpasses 27,483 kg! That’s a win for the environment and a testament to our commitment to sustainable practices.
