What Was Installed?

Benefits

• With a direct use of 12,412 kWh/Year, the homeowners can choose to export the remaining 10,487 kwh/Year back to the grid. They are also now saving 10,595kg/year of CO2 emissions a year thanks to this environmentally friendly decision, helping to make the world a greener place.
• With a Tesla Powerwall installed onto the property, if a power cut hits their home, the Tesla Powerwall will kick in with a backup generator, providing energy for the home as if the power cut never happened at all!

The Process

In May 2024, we installed x56 LONGI solar panels, x3 6kW Solis standard inverters, x1 Solis 6kw Hybrid inverter, a Tesla Powerwall and a Dyness Battery in Reading.

For this job, the LONGI solar panels have been installed on to a Van Der Valk ground mounted system, allowing the client to make use of the large land they own.

To complete the installation, we built a frame, levelling the ground out with shingles to house the ground mount solar system.

Once the panels were then laid, back and side plates were fitted to the system to keep the strings safe and protected from night-time animals, leaving this system with a tidy finish.

As requested, we were asked to split the generated electricity into two different buildings: The main home, and the Annex.

To generate the energy to the separate houses, we installed a 6kw Hybrid Solis inverter along with a 6kw standard Solis inverter and a 5.1kw Dyness battery for the Annex, and two 6kw Solis inverters with a Tesla Powerwall for the House.
